Jillily Studios Open House

To say I was excited to have Jill Finley of Jillily Studios come to Seasons of Home for an open house is an understatement. I was still not prepared for how AWESOME it would be. She showed of the quilts from her new book, "Home Sweet Quilt" and they are even better in person.

Here are some pictures of the fun event.
My sister and I made cupcakes for the party and they were delicious. I candied lemon peel to put on top.

We had a big group of Jillily fans

This quilt was so cute in person and she showed us how to make all the lettering out of bias.

Her book has a lot of variety of projects. This is her wool table runner.

This queen sized quilt was a real crowd pleaser. The tulips of the bottom are beautiful.

She even has an easy curved piecing project. Tempting!

Here is Seasons of Home's Jillily Corner.

Here is Jillily's fabric line available at Seasons of Home.
She showed us "Applique the Jillily Way" and it was so good to see how the real pro does it. I'm in the process of making the cover quilt and it's a lot of applique. After the show I think I have a pretty good handle on how to make my pieces look perfect. The picture below has the quilt I'm making on the sofa. The very simple quilt on the wall... WOW. Awesome. Seeing them all in person really got me pumped.
