I just made this baby quilt up and think it turned out really cute. I drew the picture for the applique wagon using Sandy Klop's border print fabric as a guide. You may not be able to see it but the background fabric is lined, like elementary children's school paper.

Kids Sewing Camp
We had the funnest group of girls this week at Seasons of Home's Sewing Camp.
We did two projects. Pillowcases we did the first day to ease into sewing.
The second and third day we did a cute little purse with a fabric flower. Lots of fun was had by all and they all did such a good job!
Next month we are doing pajama bottoms! August 7, 8 and 9th from 10-12. We are also doing a kids craft camp for all ages with fun projects. August 7, 8, 9 from 12-2. Sign up now!

A Great Weekend
I had a great weekend and I feel like I have been really, really, really productive. Well, I may not deserve 3 reallys but sometimes you have to give them to yourself.
I just finished 2 of the cutest aprons. One is a pattern Ann's (my mommy) for "Grandma's Summer Apron" and it was so much fun. It's a pattern that reminds mom of her grandma and for a little bit of interest I'm actually wearing a shirtwaist dress of MY grandma's, how's that for a

The second one is from Tee Designs and was cut from an antique apron made of sack cloth with fruit redwork on the pockets.
I unfortunately don't have a picture of the original but here is my version. I tried to keep with hand embroidered style on the pocket but it is of course more modern to match the yellow chevrons.
Now, tomorrow is my second "Kid's Sewing Camp" and I'm totally excited. We just added another one in August to the schedule so come sign up! It's a lot of fun.

What's New
We have tons of new lines in at Seasons of Home. Here are just a few.
Above is the new Adorn IT line in beautiful yellow and gray, with a pretty blue thrown in. It has chevrons in 2 colors, florals, a great diamond pattern, and my favorite is actually the third one from the left, it has writing and lines in yellow and gray.
And we just got in Riley Blake's Chevron fabric in 6 beautiful colors. I can't wait to make something with these!

My Grandmother's Garden
This blog is for my Grandma who doesn't always get to see her flowers in full bloom.
There are peonies everywhere. I could spend all day looking at each one of them, and I'd consider it a day well spent.
This pretty white peony with a hint of red in the center was especially beautiful draped over the fence post.
This is my and my Grandma's garden. We helped plant it this year, me and Jack, 5, Lily, 3 and Isabel 1. After 30 minutes of very good/hard work Isabel felt she should have all of the corn to spread wherever she wanted it to go. So there was another 30 minutes of crying, but it only took an hour to do the spring planting. The second planting we did, the kids stayed at my sisters for the morning while I went to work. I really enjoy getting dirty when I know the wonderful things that are going to grow.
And yes, I do live in a beautiful place!

A Fun Class for London
I just finished a class with the cutest little girl visiting Heber from Texas. She was so excited and her mom says she's going to be a seamstress which is something I love to hear!
We did a darling apron. We appliqued her first initial on the pocket.
And three great pincushions. She now has a family of bugs!
She really wanted to do a pincushion because she has plans to keep on sewing and figured it would come in handy. We had so much fun!

We've gone paper doll crazy! They are so fun and easy, no sewing! It's iron on Peltex and Heat 'n Bond.
There are big paper dolls and little ones. Each one has 4 little figures and lots of extra clothes.
The kits for both are online at seasonsofhome.com
BUT... for extra crazy cuteness factor, my mom, Ann, made this adorable house to hold all of the pieces.
The pattern is also available at seasonsofhome.com

| Here is the front and back. The house is fashioned after a little thatched cottage in Midway. |
| A dresser with a flap to hold the clothes and a bed to put your dolls to sleep in! |
